Moving Back to the UK · Gran Canaria · English-speaking
Health, family, the cost of living — whatever the reason. We help British residents on Gran Canaria liquidate the apartment before the flight home: clearance, purchase of furniture and valuables, car sold with DGT re-registration, comunidad and utility contracts closed — so you board the plane with the money in your account, not the contents in storage.
We know your situation
Before / After
No matter how full, how cluttered or how complicated — we clear it. From a tidy holiday flat to an extreme hoarder property. Thousands of clearances completed across our group Sosa Gran Canaria and Rümpelmannschaft (Germany).
How we help
We don't fly in and out. We live here — since 2017. You don't need to come to the island a single time if you don't want to. We take over the entire operational side:
300+ properties
No promise without a receipt
Antiques, jewellery, designer furniture, tools, vehicles — we appraise everything on-site, send you a written offer by email, offset the purchase sum against our clearance fee and transfer the balance to your account. With a written purchase receipt for your probate file.
A 10-minute phone call. You describe what's involved — we listen, ask the right questions.
We visit the property on Gran Canaria — free of charge, with photo and video documentation for you.
Fixed-price offer by email within 24 hours, including itemised purchase values — transparent, fully documented.
We clear, transport and store valuable items at our warehouse — photo updates sent to you in the UK.
Purchase value offset against clearance fee. Balance paid by bank transfer with purchase receipt for your probate file.
A typical case in our practice. Figures rounded — every property is assessed individually.
The person behind it all
"Our clients are heirs and owners — some in the UK, some living here on the island. What everyone shares: too little time, too little energy, no plan for what to do with the contents and the valuable items. You call — I pick up personally. No call centre. We survey the property with you or without you, clear it, purchase what's valuable, and transfer the balance with a written receipt."
Legal & Brexit clarity on the island
We are not solicitors — but we know the post-Brexit procedures on Gran Canaria and work alongside English-speaking probate lawyers. Here's the essential overview.
What other clients say
"Marius handled the entire clearance of our mother's apartment from 2,200 miles away. Photo documentation, an honest valuation, and at the end there was even money left over. We didn't have to fly out a single time."
"Very satisfied. Marius cleared my father's flat in Las Palmas — I didn't have to fly out a single time. Everything handled in English, the jewellery valuation was fair, the bank transfer arrived on time."
"My uncle's car was sitting on the island and we had no idea what to do with it. Sosa bought it, ran the DGT re-registration through their gestoría — perfect service from the UK."
"Discreet, professional and as good as their word. They handled my mother's flat in Arucas — every line item accounted for. Recommend 100%."
"After my aunt died in Playa del Inglés we didn't know where to start. Sosa took over everything, even coordinated the notary appointment. An English-speaking contact — worth its weight in gold."
Why us — and not the others
A local clearer can look cheaper on paper — and more expensive on every other point that matters for a British estate. Here's the honest comparison.

"DIY" requires at least 2 trips, a Spanish NIE, Spanish language skills and weeks on the island — realistic for very few British heirs post-Brexit.
It's simpler than you think
You describe what's involved. We listen. Ten minutes is enough for an initial assessment.
With you, a person you trust, or the building manager who holds the keys — fixed prices only after a real survey, never blind.
Written offer by email, itemised purchases and transparent offset against the clearance fee.
We clear, document each step with photos sent to you, and hand the keys to landlord, buyer or bank.
"Give us a call. We'll listen. We'll do the rest."
Free initial consultation
Just three fields, that's all we need to start. If writing feels like too much right now, just call us.
Frequently asked questions
A 60–80 m² apartment typically falls between €1,800 and €3,200 — depending on floor, lift, rubbish volume and condition. We purchase the valuable items and offset them against the clearance fee, so in most cases no net cost remains for you, and in many cases there is a payout to your estate account. You receive the fixed quote in writing before we start.
From the first call to the handover of keys, expect 2–4 weeks. The on-site survey happens within 5 working days, the written quote reaches you 24 hours later, and the clearance itself takes 1–3 days depending on size. Once probate and powers of attorney are sorted, we're off.
In most cases, no. Powers of attorney can be issued by a UK notary (with apostille), agreements are signed by email. For the formal acceptance of inheritance, one short on-site visit may be needed — we coordinate it with our partner solicitors so you spend at most a single day on the island, often none at all.
We purchase antiques, gold jewellery, coins, watches, art, designer furniture, tools, vintage collectibles and vehicles (cars, scooters, boats). Jewellery is tested with calibrated gold scales and acid testing; larger items by external appraisal when needed. You receive a written offer with itemised lines — no lump sums, everything transparent.
Partially yes. A clearance up to handover to landlord or bank is often possible via power of attorney. For purchase and resale of valuable items we need the Spanish probate certificate or European Certificate of Succession. We can introduce you to our English-speaking probate lawyers on Gran Canaria — they know the post-Brexit procedure and speed it up considerably.
Yes — we hold a public liability insurance policy with AXA Seguros at a high cover limit, covering all risks relevant to our work (clearance, transport, damage to the building, loss of valuable items during processing). We're happy to send the current policy certificate by email before the contract starts. Any damage caused by our team is settled directly via AXA — you don't have to lift a finger.
We know the post-Brexit rules. UK heirs no longer need a Spanish NIE/TIE to inherit, but they do need a Spanish probate process and the Certificado de Últimas Voluntades. The 90/180-day Schengen rule means UK heirs cannot stay long-term on the island to deal with it themselves — which is exactly why we exist. For repatriation of items to the UK, VAT and customs apply, so we usually recommend selling locally and transferring the proceeds. We handle the entire chain.
Yes. You receive a fully compliant Spanish invoice (factura) with VAT shown — and beneath each line item a courtesy English translation, so you, your co-heirs and HMRC can see exactly what each amount is for. Together with the purchase receipt covering everything we've taken over. Accepted by UK probate solicitors and HMRC. Questions? Call us: +34 828 643 036.
